Motorola will release the second generation Moto E with 3G connectivity in India for Rs 6,999. This was revealed by Motorola in a YouTube teaser. However, the Lenovo owned company has not said anything about the LTE version of Moto E (2nd Gen). The current version of Moto E is available for Rs 5,999.
The 2nd Gen Moto E was announced earlier this week in two versions - 3G and 4G. The Moto E 2nd Gen offers a 4.5 inch display with 540 x 960 pixels (qHD) resolution, as compared to the 4.3 inch display of its predecessor. The 3G version runs on the 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 200 quad core processor while the 4G version has the 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 410 quad core CPU. Also the new model has much better 8 GB inbuilt storage against 4 GB of the earlier Moto E model. However, the new model has 1 GB RAM and a 32 GB micro SD card slot as the older one.
Like its predecessor, the Motorola Moto E (2nd Gen) has a 5 megapixel primary camera with auto-focus, geo-tagging, panorama, and HDR features and it can record videos at 720p at 30 fps. A big addition comes in the form of a front camera; though of VGA resolution, the additional front camera was highly missed in the earlier Moto E version. However, the new Moto E version still do not offer any flash light for the rear camera.
Under the hood the device is powered by a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor and 1GB RAM. It also has an internal storage capacity of 8GB which can further be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot present on the device.
Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0 port. The device is powered by a Li-Ion 2390 mAh battery and is available in black and white colours.
